Painting Class

While we're in Colorado for these five weeks, Mom has been and is planning on going to painting class with Grandma Lou. Every Monday evening, they head over to Shelley's house to "play" with their brushes.

Last week Shelley set up a still life for Mom to paint. Two red peppers and two lemons are sitting in a bowl with two limes resting on the table.
Here's what Mom's painting looked like after class #1:
And here's what the painting looked like after class #2 (last night):

Class #3 (this coming Monday) will be spent working on the peppers. They need a LOT of help! Mom isn't really into red, so she needs a bit of inspiration. That's why she picked up a red pepper at the grocery store this morning. I have a feeling Mom will be spending quite a bit of time with her pepper this coming week.

It looks a bit Monet like. Just wait in about a 100 years or so Jamey and Jack your children will be studying the next great impressionist painter.

Awesome, Karyn! That looks great! You should put it in Local Flair when you return.
