Splish, splash, I was taking a bath...

Splashy, splashy, splashy is my favorite thing to do when I'm taking a bath. I kick my feet and wave my arms, and soon the person who is giving me a bath is soaking wet! It's really one of the most fun things.

Today Mommy had lots of errands to run. I was on my best behavior until we got to the Post Office. I didn't really feel like being at the Post Office today, so when we got inside, I screamed as loudly as I possibly could. Mommy couldn't convince me to stop making noise, so we had to leave.

Let's just say, Mommy wasn't a happy camper. When Dad came home later, he asked Mommy what he could do to help. Mommy said he could go to the Post Office first thing tomorrow morning. Then Mommy went on to say that Dad will be taking me with him so he, too, can experience the joy of waiting in the long line at the Post Office while holding a baby. I'm not sure why, but I think Dad might be sad he offered to help.

Ice is great!

I was hot, fussy, and drooly this afternoon. Mommy put me in my high chair, and then she put ice in my whole-food-feeder and let me have at it. I think what really happened was Mommy needed a break from chasing me. I'm getting pretty fast these days!

I like chewing on ice. It's so cold and yummy! It makes me not feel so hot or fussy anymore. Mommy says she wish it took care of drool, too.

By the time I was finished with the ice, I was drenched! Between the melting ice and the drool, my shirt and diaper were quite wet. Mommy cleaned me up, and then it was time for a nap. After my nap, it was time to play chase once again!

Crawling Choices

One of my favorite things is chasing my buddy Norah around the house. And, one of Norah's favorite things is looking out of the front window to keep an eye on the neighborhood. Needless to say, Norah and I spend quite a bit of time in the hallway going back and forth. It's lots of fun!

Some babies crawl the normal way all the time--on their hands and knees. I used to only crawl that way, but now I have two ways to crawl! I can crawl on my hands and knees, and I can crawl on my feet and hands. It's nice having choices when it comes to getting around.

Mommy thinks I might be working on some more teeth cause the drool picked up again. We keep having to change my clothes as they end up soaking wet. Mommy says she never in her whole life imagined there would ever be this much laundry. It's just that I don't want Mommy to be bored. She says she's not.

Well, I must get back to chasing Norah...

Busy Day

Today was a busy day. Natalie came to play, we went for a walk, we made brownies, and we had company for dinner. Mommy didn't have time to get a picture of me, so we're using a picture from Sunday.

This is a picture of me trying spinach. I like spinach. The vegetables that most people don't like are the vegetables I like best! Mommy says she might try to give me broccoli and asparagus next--she figures I'll like them cause they're not usually the vegetables people give babies.

I'm tired from my busy day, so I'm going to sleep. See ya tomorrow...

Not enough hands...

Since I don't have enough hands to crawl and carry my toys, I use my teeth when I need to take my race car to the next room. It works pretty good. Mommy says we shouldn't let Great-Great Aunt Dee see this picture, cause she knows how to take good care of teeth. Carrying things with your teeth might not be considered taking good care of teeth, according to Mommy. Oh well! Until I get another hand, teeth will have to do the carrying for me...unless I decide to walk...

Mommy's Little Helper

Whenever Mommy needs a helper, I'm ready to help! Mommy says the "help" I provide is questionable. I think that means I'm the best helper around.

This morning, Mommy decided to sort through my clothes. You see, I'm growing and growing, so we needed to get the next size ready for me to wear.

Mommy packed up my too-small-clothes into the storage bins kept in the garage. I helped by crawling on the clothes and smashing them to make the clothes take up less room. I also unloaded my bath supply basket. I'm pretty handy to have around.

We're saving the clothes just in case Mommy and Daddy ever get over the shock of being parents. If this happens, maybe someday I will have a brother. I don't think we should count on that happening anytime soon...especially since I spit my sweet potatoes all over Mommy at lunchtime.

PS: I'm quickly growing out of my 6-9 month clothes. Today Mommy pulled out the 12 month sizes! For now, I get to wear both sizes, since I'm not quite small enough and not quite big enough.

Mommy's Pretty Flowers

This morning I found out that, last night after I went to bed, Mommy and Daddy did some yardwork. Sometimes they wait until I'm in bed before they do the really fun stuff. It's not fair, but it's the way things are around here.

Mommy's flower box is looking super pretty these days. Mommy likes to go outside and cut flowers to put in a vase. Mommy says fresh flowers make our house pretty.

"Twin" Cousins

Today I went over to Oliver's house. Oliver and I have a few matching outfits, and our mommies wanted to get pictures. Oh, it took so long! Actually, it took forever...

The first picture is us in our t-shirts Grandma Lou and Grandpa Jere brought back from their vacation in Mazatlan, Mexico. Notice that I am holding Oliver's hand--that made the mommies say "oooohhh".

Next came the pictures of us in our tiger rompers. My Mommy found these way before Oliver was born. We gave Oliver his at one of his showers. He told me he couldn't wait until we could wear them and match. Finally, Oliver is here and we can play while wearing our matching clothes!

The other reason we took this picture is so that everyone could see that Oliver is catching up to me. I think I might turn out to be the short one, cause Oliver is growing so tall. That's okay, two of my most favorite people are quite short.

By the time we got to our jungle overalls (mine came from California friends and Oliver's came from Arkansas friends), I was d-o-n-e with pictures! I decided to go play somewhere else. You'd think that would stop the photo session. Not with my Mommy; she thought it was cute I was crawling away. I don't understand girls. Dad says he doesn't understand them either.

PS: Stay tuned for more matching pictures... I'm going to California soon, and I have matching clothes with my other cousin Noah. And...Grandma Lou's friend Kathy sent Oliver and I three matching outfits! The fun will never end for the mommies...

Laundry

After the standing episode, I changed my clothes (that happens a few times each day). Then, I helped Mommy with the laundry. I am really quite helpful. I could take or leave the clothes, but the laundry basket is rather entertaining!

And, yes, both of my feet are on the ground.

Yep, I'm standing!

Can you believe it? Mommy sure can't! She says if she didn't have it on film, she still wouldn't think it was true!

Today while I was playing, I pulled myself up on the bookshelf. First I pulled from crawling up to my knees--that's when Mommy ran for the camera. And then, I kept right on pulling! Pretty soon I was standing. I'm not even sure how it all happened. I just know Mommy freaked, and called Dad. And, then the grandmas were called. It was all quite exciting!

Of course, I haven't done it since... A guy's got to maintain some mystery.

Once again, I'm stuck!

It happened again this morning. I was playing with my toys, and somehow I wedged myself in between the toys and couldn't get out. Mommy can't figure out how I got stuck, and she watched the whole thing happen! I made lots of crying noises in hopes that Mommy would feel really sorry for me. She didn't. Instead, Mommy ran for the camera! I called for Norah, but then I remembered my puppy is at the groomers all morning. During my time of need, Norah is at the groomers! What was she thinking?

I know what I'm thinking! I'm thinking this crawling thing is nothing but trouble! I've got to find a new way to get around. Any suggestions?

Stuck!

Today while I was exploring, I got stuck! I thought this spot might be a cave, but it wasn't. I couldn't get out. I was very brave, though.

"Mommy, Mommy," I called. Mommy didn't come, cause she was too busy taking pictures. So I called for Norah. Like a good puppy, Norah came and waited with me until Mommy was finished with the camera and could help me.

Another fun thing happened today. I met a new friend named Charley. Mommy already knew his mommy, but us boys hadn't met. Neatest of all is that Charlie has the exact same birthday as Spike, and they were born at the very same hospital! Can you believe it? I think I might re-introduce Spike and Charlie one of these days. They can catch up on what's happened since the days of the hospital nursery.

Well...I'm off to dinner and shopping with Mommy and Dad. Have a good evening!

In the cave

Finally after days and days of trying, this morning I made it under the coffee table a.k.a. "Norah's Cave". I had already pushed my toys under the table, so they were all ready for me when I arrived.

Here's the thing... How do I get out from under the coffee table? I can't seem to coordinate the lowering of my head with the ledge... "Norah, please come help me! Show me how it's done!"

Bathrooms are great!

Shhhh! Don't tell my Mom, but when she wasn't looking, Norah and I snuck into the bathroom! Usually the bathroom door is shut while I'm awake, but I think Mommy forgot to close it this morning. I took that as an open invitation and crawled on in!

Unfortunately, the bathroom-time didn't last all that long... We were quickly found and kicked out, and the door was shut behind us. It sure was great while it lasted!

A "toy" in every room!

Now that I'm a crawler, I am finding all kinds of things to play with! This weekend I found door-stops. I thought I had found every last one, but this morning I found another one. Will the fun ever end? Mommy says she thinks the "fun" is here to stay.

The door-stop I found this morning, is the one in the guest room. Just like the others, it had a white cap that comes off if pulled hard enough. The white cap is perfect for chewing. The white cap now lives with the other white caps--up on the shelf. I miss the white caps... Oh well, the "boing-g-g-g-g-g" is making up for my loss...

I'm off to find another door-stop... Catch you later...

Weekend update: I am enjoying my Cheerios more these days. I still like to pop them off of the tray for Norah to find. However, I'm getting better at putting them in my mouth, but I still like it best when Mommy does it for me.

Happy Father's Day!

Since it's Father's Day, I thought I would dedicate this post to my Dad and tell you a little bit about him. He's a great guy, and he's the best Dad in the world! Yesterday, when I was thinking about what to write for my special Father's Day post, I thought of two things: soda and flip-flops.

My Dad plays with me and he reads to me and someday my Dad will let me drink soda. Mommy says, "If you're going to drink soda, you might as well drink poison!" Well, Dad and I both know soda isn't poison. Silly Mommy--soda is yummy!!! Anyway, one of these days, when I'm lots bigger, Dad is going to buy a huge bottle of soda. Dad and I will share the big bottle, and we will drink the whole thing all by ourselves without sharing any with Mommy!!! I cannot wait until I am big!!!
The other thing that is great about my Dad is that he leaves his flip-flops all over the house. This means no matter where I am, there is always something for me to chew on. Flip-flops are the perfect thing to chew, cause they are soft and spongy. I'm not sure why people spend their hard-earned money on baby toys; flip-flops are much cheaper. Mommy doesn't really like me chewing on flip-flops. When she sees me going for Dad's flip-flops, Mommy starts talking about germs. What exactly is a germ? I've never in my whole life seen a germ; I'm not even sure they really do exist. Oh well...Mommy claims she knows more about germs than I do.

Anyway... Daddy, I hope you have a happy Father's Day! And Happy Father's Day to all the other men in my life...Grandpa Jere, Grandpa Patrick, Great-Great Pa's, and all of my uncles who are dads. I wish you a wonderful day!

The Cheerios are causing more trouble

Dad just read my blog. Now he is making fun of Mommy and me cause we spelt Cheerio wrong. Here's the thing--HE is the one who told us how to spell Cheerio! Dad says we didn't listen very well when he told us the correct spelling. Mommy is telling Dad that he is going to be sleeping in the guestroom if he doesn't stop talking... That might be fun--I've never slept in the guestroom. Maybe if Dad keeps talking and ends up down the hall, I'll keep him company.

These Cheerios have caused a lot of trouble. I think Mommy should just throw them all away!

Cherrios

This morning, Mommy was up bright and early. I should have known she was up to something. Mommy decided today was the day for me to try Cherrios. They are just awful! Not as bad as peas, but they're pretty close.

First, Mommy put them on my tray. That was actually fun. I would point at the Cherrio and flip it off my tray. Norah would come running. Then Mommy told me I was supposed to put the Cherrio in my mouth. I got the Cherrio in my mouth, and that was when the awfulness started.

Oh, the faces I made! I spit out that Cherrio. Mommy put it back in my mouth. I tried to push Mommy's hands away when she tried to put the terrible Cherrio back in my mouth. And then the whole situation got worse...

Dad decided to come join the fun, and he brought the camera. My parents had a great time. They would make me eat a Cherrio and then laugh and snap pictures of my faces. Give a guy a break!

Mommy says she thinks I'll like Cherrios if I keep trying them... Yeah right...

Yesterday

Yesterday was a very busy day! So busy I forgot to blog!

We started off the day having muffins with my walking buddies. Spike, Jonathan, and Ava came to play. This picture is of Spike playing in my Exersaucer. He's so smart, cause he knows how to push the music button. I haven't quite figured that out yet. What a great time it was! Norah had the best time playing with Ava. Ava would have a bite or two of Norah's food, and then Norah would have one of Ava's Cherrios. They were such good "sharers". However, the mommies tried to get Norah to stop sharing her food with Ava. I guess it's not good for puppies and babies to share... Who knew?

Then, cause I was eight-months-old yesterday, Mommy and Daddy took me out to lunch. Dad said it was really more like he was taking Mommy out to lunch. It was fun; mostly cause everyone at the restaurant thought I was quite cute!

We stopped by the place where Mommy used to work. The ladies there held me and played with me. Then we went to Dad's office where more ladies held me and played with me! Ladies are great especially when they tell me how cute I am over and over again!

To top off our busy day, Dad and I played together at home while Mommy went to get her haircut. It took a long time for Mommy to get her hair fixed. Dad didn't know what to do, so he tried to put me to bed without any milk! Like that worked! Mommy came home soon after, so, in the end, it was all okay.

Whew! What a day! I'm glad it's the weekend now...I need to rest!

Oliver and Me

This afternoon Mommy and I went to see Oliver and Aunt Joy. I had a great time checking Oliver out. We just kept looking and looking at each other. I like Oliver, and I'm pretty sure he likes me. Oliver told me he would like me to teach him a few things when he gets a little bit bigger. Just give me a heads-up, Oliver, and I'll teach you whatever you want to know! I'm sure before too long, you'll have tricks of your own to teach me!

I was a little bit tired in this picture. Napping was next on my agenda. However, Mommy and Aunt Joy had other ideas; they wanted to take pictures of the boys. And, as you all ready know, pictures take precedent over just about anything. The only good thing about the whole deal was I got to have my blanket even though I wasn't in my crib!

Silly Faces for the Camera

Yesterday morning Mommy and I played with the camera. We had a great time. I would make silly faces, and Mommy would take my picture. It was lots of fun! In the end, Mommy and I were both laughing pretty hard. Mommy said I am a very silly baby! Mommy also said that I am the cutest baby in the whole wide world!

Jingles

Mommy can't seem to remember if we have shown you a picture of me playing with Norah's jingles. I remember that I told you about how fun they are, but I don't think I've ever shown you. Consider it done--here's a picture!

Sometimes, if Norah holds still long enough, I can actually get the jingles in my mouth. That's my favorite part about the jingles. The cold metal feels good on my gums. Of course, Mommy thinks it's a bit gross, so she usually takes the jingles out of my mouth right away.

Sippy Cups

When I chew on my sippy cup using the side of my mouth, I can make a lovely popping-smacking noise. While making this noise, I can keep myself entertained for minutes upon minutes! Mommy says sometimes the noise drives her crazy. But then again, sometimes it's worth the noise in order to have a minute to finish washing the dishes...

Wrestling

Remember way back before I was born? Dad and Norah would wrestle. I would hear them while I was inside of Mommy's tummy, and I would wish I could come out for wrestling time. Remember?

Well, today it happened. Dad, Norah, and I wrestled. And, it was all I hoped it would be! What fun we had. When the wrestling was over and we were resting, Norah let me chew on her "jingles" (a.k.a. tags). Jingles make great chew toys.

(My buddy Norah is a really good puppy, but, still, Mommy and Daddy would never let me wrestle with her unsupervised.)

Look what I found!

Wow! This crawling stuff is pretty great! Today I crawled from the living room to the kitchen where I found some very interesting things. Norah said the interesting things were her food and water bowls.

Before I knew what hit me, the camera snapped, and I was quickly taken away from the bowls and put back in the living room. My parents then had a discussion about how to handle the situation. They seemed a bit baffled about what to do next. Here are a few things that were said during the discussion: "Norah has to eat", "he can't be allowed to grab her food", and "but how will we stop him?".

I don't get what the big deal is? They were the ones who encouraged the crawling. And now that I've done what they wanted me to do, Mommy and Daddy are worked up! Parents!!! What will I do with them? Grandparents are really much easier to deal with as they are less easily frazzled. Good thing I'm off to see Grandma Carolyn and Great-Mom-mom in a few weeks. This little guy will finally have some peace!

Taking a break...

Crawling takes a lot of energy. Sometimes I have to stop and take a break. After a quick rest, I'm ready to crawl again. Watch out Norah, here I come!!!

Yesterday, we ran errands, went to church, and saw Oliver! Since Mommy broke her blender making my food, we got her a new one. She had lots of coupons and rebates--Mommy loves a deal! Church was fun. I like my nursery. The nursery workers said I am "perfect". Mommy said she already knew that. And, Oliver is still pretty cute! I got to see Oliver's grandpa, too (the grandpa who isn't my grandpa--still very confusing to me as to how that works). It was a fun day!

I think today is all about the World Cup. Mommy says it will be a boring day. Dad says it will be quite exciting cause the Netherlands play today! I think I'll watch the game and chase my buddy Norah around the living room. Ready or not, here I come!!!

Friday, June 09, 2006

I can crawl!!!

Ready or not, here I come!!! Yep, I'm a crawler! This afternoon while Daddy and I were watching soccer, I crawled for the very first time. Mommy was at the post office, so she missed it.

I think perhaps I should have planned better. Mommy was a little bit sad to have missed my first crawl. Mommy said it really was okay, cause she's seen other "firsts" before Daddy has seen them; but I could tell she was kind of sad.

This isn't a great picture of me. I was seriously focusing on my new skill, and the camera didn't focus right. However, if you squint your eyes and look at the picture, it's not all that bad.

Well, I must run. I'm going to chase Norah for awhile before I go to bed.

Let the games begin

World Cup Soccer got started today. Dad came home a few minutes early so he could show me how fun it is to watch the soccer games on television. Mommy got my soccer ball, and we were ready to watch! I'm not sure which team I want to win. Dad is going for the Netherlands. Mommy is going for England. (Mommy likes tea. Since they drink tea in England, Mommy, of course, is cheering for England. Mommy...ummm...I don't think soccer players drink tea.) And me, well, I'm still undecided!

(Note: Mommy usually doesn't like me to watch television, but since our soccer channel is in another language, Mommy says it's practically educational for me to watch the games with Dad.)

No-sleep Thursday

I decided not to sleep for my morning nap today. And then, I made what Mommy calls "another bad choice" when I decided to skip sleeping for my afternoon nap, too! Needless to say I was quite a "punch drunk" mess by the time evening rolled around! Here's a picture of me flailing about in my Exersaucer, cause I'm so tired I can't think straight. The mommy behind the camera is wondering just what exactly she did wrong!

Mommy, you didn't do anything wrong. I just got overstimulated today with all that was happening, and couldn't get myself to sleep. Never fear, Mommy, tomorrow is a new day with a fresh start! After a good night's sleep, it will all be okay.

Oh...there are a couple of other things I'm supposed to tell you. First, I tried green beans and I think I might like them. Second, I have figured out how to use my pointer finger. I really like pointing at things--especially buttons on people's shirts. Mommy says it's cause I'm trying to count. Whatever, Mommy, I don't know numbers yet. Remember, I'm still a baby!

Playing with my Dad

My Dad has to go to work all day long for five whole days each week. I miss him while he's away, and I am quite excited when he comes through the door each evening.

Tonight he came home and taught me a new game. It's called the upside down game. It was lots of fun. I think it made Norah a little bit nervous, but it made me laugh!

Only two more days till the weekend, Dad...and you know what that means? Two stay-home days in a row!

Backpacks and Friends

Natalie came to play with me today. She brought her backpack. I think I might love backpacks. It was a great thing to play with--it had cords and zippers and straps--way too much fun!

Inside of the backpack were play dishes and play food. Natalie "made" me carrots and cinnamon muffins. They were yummy in a pretend sort of way.

Guess what Natalie calls me? She calls me "sweetheart", and she calls Norah "hon" or "honey". Mommy says it's cute! We had a fun day--Natalie and me!

Vacuuming without a carrier...

Today I got very sad when Mommy vacuumed our house. Usually, I ride in the Baby Borjn when Mommy is vacuuming, but I am officially too big for Mommy to carry me when she's pushing a vacuum. Mommy ordered us a Mei Tai carrier, but it's not here yet. Mommy says our new carrier will be the perfect solution to making vacuum days happier days.

When I was little I didn't mind vacuums. Now, however, I do mind them, and I don't like them! Norah doesn't like those big, loud things either, so the two of us--Norah and me--stayed in my room together and played while Mommy cleaned the floors.

But then, Mommy decided to vacuum MY room which meant Norah and I went to the living room for Exersaucer time. That's when my world fell apart. I was so sad! I cried real tears! I cried for a long time! Mommy said I actually cried for less than three minutes--well, Mommy, it felt more like thirty-three! Mommy decided she was finished vacuuming my room even though the corners weren't clean yet. Who cares about the corners anyway? I certainly don't! All I cared about was that the vacuuming was over!

And it was...

Morning activities...

After eating my breakfast, most of my morning was spent trying to pull the knob on this drawer. Mommy said this is a perfect example of why we lowered my crib mattress. What my crib and this knob have to do with each other is beyond me. I just smiled at Mommy and went back to pulling on the coffee table drawer knob.

Good Morning, Mommy!

When I wake up each morning, the very first thing I do is call for my Mommy. Eventually (some mornings it takes more calling than other mornings), Mommy, or sometimes Daddy, comes to my room.

This morning Mommy came into my room with the camera ready to go! This is what I look like when I see my Mommy. I am smiling really big, and both of my arms are stretched out just waiting for Mommy to pull me up out of my crib.

"Good morning, baby," says Mommy!

(And did you notice? This past weekend, Grandpa Jere lowered my mattress.)

Norah likes peas!!!

Norah loved the peas! But then again, Norah likes most vegetables. Vegetables and bits of cheese are the only kinds of people food Norah is allowed to have. Unless Grandpa Jere is visiting, that is... During those visits, the rules Norah lives by are slightly altered.

Dad thought that if I saw Norah eating and enjoying peas, I might change my mind. Let the record show that I haven't changed my mind. I DO NOT LIKE PEAS!!!

Please, Mommy, throw away all the peas you made for me! Or, if it would make you feel better, you could mail them to the starving children. It's completely up to you...

Carrots don't taste like zucchini

Here's what I don't understand... Why do I have to try new foods? Why can't I just eat zucchini and sweet potatoes for the rest of my life? Would that be such a bad thing?

Today they tried to feed me carrots. I'm not sure what I think of carrots. Don't get me wrong--they are better than peas, but still...it's not zucchini.

After the carrots they tried to give me peas once again. This time they mixed in zucchini. They tried to trick me! Never fear, I was on to them, and I didn't eat the mixture. But Norah did. Norah ate the peas. Stay tuned to see what Norah thought of the peas...

Grocery Shopping

Since I'm now a pretty good "sitter", today, while we were grocery shopping, Mommy and Daddy let me sit in the cart like a big boy! No more baby seat for me during shopping time. The view is pretty good sitting in the cart; I can see just about everything. Plus, sitting in the cart makes it's easier to smash the bread and chew on the plastic vegetable bags. In the future, I think I'm going to love grocery shopping even more than I did before today!

Happy Birthday Norah!

Happy birthday to my puppy!

Today is Norah's birthday, and she is three-years-old. I'm wondering, when I turn three, if I'll get to stay up as late as Norah? Norah doesn't have to go to bed until Mommy and Daddy climb into bed. Norah is quite lucky! I have to go to bed at seven, cause I'm just seven-and-a-half-months-old.

We started off our day by having breakfast with Grandma Lou and Grandpa Jere. Norah had a special breakfast treat as Grandpa Jere "snuck" her pieces of toast during breakfast.

After breakfast we chatted and played. Then I took a three and a half hour nap! Mommy was kind of worried! She kept checking on me, and I kept snoozing.

After my nap, Mommy, Norah, and I went to Bosley's house to wish him a happy birthday. The dogs had fun playing, and I had fun with Bosley's girls--Charlotte even held me for a little bit. After Norah opened her present, we headed for home.

I hope you had a great day little buddy!

Making Cookies

At lunch today, I still didn't like peas. That's three times now that I haven't liked peas. When will Mommy get a clue? I wonder...

Tomorrow is my buddy Norah's birthday. In honor of the birthday, Mommy and I are making sugar cookie cutouts to share with Bosley's (Norah's twin brother) family. We're going to cut out the cookies in the shape of a dog's bone. They are going to be so cute.

So I could help better, Mommy let me hold one of her clean scrapers while she mixed up the cookie dough. I'm such a good helper.

Now I must nap so I am well-rested for this evening. I have big plans this evening. I'm taking Grandma Lou and Grandpa Jere out to dinner! We're going to have Mexican food. But, best of all, Grandma Lou and Grandpa Jere are spending the night!!! How fun is that! So fun, in fact, I might be too excited to sleep for my nap!

An Update on Peas

After my nap, I still didn't like peas. However, I was back to my old self in regards to yellow squash; I liked it. But peas? Well, they might not be my favorite thing. Mommy says maybe we'll just save them for tomorrow. Oh goodie...peas again...

At least this evening I have something to look forward to--a shopping trip with Grandma Lou and Grandpa Jere!

Too Tired for Peas

Well...peas weren't quite the success Mommy hoped they might be. In fact, lunch in general wasn't real successful. I ate a couple of bites of peas, but then I was finished.

At first, Mommy thought it was the peas, so she offered me some yellow squash. But I didn't really want squash either. Then I started fussing and rubbing my eyes. Finally, Mommy got it--I wanted a nap!

Earlier today, my morning nap was rather short. This girl came to our door to try and sell Mommy something. Instead of knocking like the sign on the doorbell says, this girl rang the bell. Norah started barking, so the girl rang the doorbell once again! (I heard Mommy mutter "Is this really necessary?" as she was walking to the door.) Norah kept barking. Mommy opened the door, and the noise stopped. But not before I woke up. Mommy thought I might go back to sleep, cause I'd only slept for 20 minutes. Would you want to go back to sleep after all that noise? Me neither! So I didn't. I stayed awake and had a nice time playing with my toys.

Well...I'm off to take a nap. After I'm rested, I might try peas again.
