Jack's Arrival--Part 5

Jack Leaves the Hospital

Sunday afternoon, Dr. Gorman said since we would be going home to good help (Grandma Carolyn followed by other grandparents), we could take Jack home.

Mommy and Dad got Jack all dressed up in his little brother shirt. First Jack had a picture with Dad...

...and then he had a picture with Mommy...who looks very tired because she was! Mommy said she'd been going on adrenalin, but all of the adrenalin left Sunday afternoon. Mommy just wanted to crawl into her own bed and sleep. She was so glad to be going home!

Jack got put in his seat, and the nurse carried him out to the car. They were headed home to see me!!!

Mommy rode in the back seat with Jack. He'd never been in a car before (outside of Mommy, that is), and Mommy didn't want him to get nervous or anything. Jack loved the car and slept most of the way home.

Isn't he sweet? The white blanket is the same blanket I came home from the hospital in. My Great-Great-Grandma Hiett made it for us. She's 103 next month and hopefully we'll get to introduce Jack to her this February.

And now I think you're caught up! Now you know how it all happened. If there's anything thing we left out, just let us know and we'll try to remember to fill you in.

Oh--and for those of you who asked...Mommy is going to find some pictures of me and post them along side pictures of Jack so you can decide if we look alike...but that will have to wait for another day. The lawn mowing people are here to mow our lawn, and I must go supervise.
