Jack's New Nickname

Well, it's official. Jack has a new nickname. Sometimes we call our baby "The Biter". He'll bite anything. Usually it's me he chomps on, but he's not picky. Tonight Jack bit his bathtub crayon and got a mouthful of soap. Silly kid!
Biting is only half the trouble around here. The other half of the trouble is what the cute face pictured below does to Mom's resolve. It seems our Mom is having a hard time being stern with Jack about biting. You see, our Mom is a recovering biter herself. She sympathies with Jack. One look at her baby's cute face during the middle of a you-shouldn't-bite lecture, and Mom is a goner. Lecture over. Seriously. How ever is Jack going to learn not to bite?
Oh my! I had to soak away my worries about Jack this evening. I finished off my soak with a few back floats. Good thing Mom has a big tub in her bathroom.
What to do, what to do... What to do with "The Biter", and what to do with his Mother?!?

Seriously Karyn, he is absolutely to die for. I don't know how you do it :)

P.S. Remind me to keep him away from Sullivan for the time being ;)

Jamey looks so peaceful floating in the safe bathtub away from Jack. Maybe if Jack bites into an onion next time he tries to bite Jamey, he'll start rethinking this habit!

Aunt Elizabeth and Aunt Tammy may have some pointers as to how to help "The Biter" out. It involves an orange in the back seat of a van while in Wyoming. They need to fill you in on the details. As to helping out your mother responding to Jack sternly, all I can say is that over time it will may change.

It was for 5 minutes we had to bite that orange in front of God and everybody. I remember my lips stinging after, so just remember the chapstick. I can't remember what game we were playing, but Grandma Carolyn didn't approve. She even bit me back once for biting one of my siblings, but the onion idea might work, thankfully Grandma Carolyn never thought of that one.
Love,
Aunt Elizabeth
