Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's birthday. Since Dad has class and work on Tuesdays, I didn't get to see him very much. That's why this picture is from Dad's last year's birthday. We didn't get any pictures of me and Dad today. You can really tell how much I've grown!

For Dad's special day, Mommy and I took cupcakes to Dad's office. Everyone came in and sang the birthday song. It was lots of fun. I played with Dad's co-workers. Mr. Eric let me poke this thing up my nose; it made Dad laugh! I sure like going to Dad's office!

Since I didn't get to play with my Daddy very much today, I'm hoping there will be lots of playtime tomorrow!

Brushing my teeth

Usually, in the evening, I brush my teeth during bathtime. It's part of my routine, and Norah helps me make sure I haven't missed any spots. All of the sugar-bugs need to get brushed off so I have healthy teeth! "Brush, brush, brush..."

For some strange reason, I had a fever this afternoon. Mommy isn't sure why. I laid on my Mommy most of the afternoon. Mommy read me books and I held my blankie. It was a rather nice afternoon. My fever is gone now, and I'm fine once again. Who knows what the deal was. I'm just glad I'm better now.

Playing hoops

A game of hoops is currently in progress at my house. First Dad makes a basket...

Then I make a basket...
And then we high-five and yell "all right". (Mommy wasn't fast enough with the camera to catch the high-fiving.)

After a couple more baskets it's going to be bathtime. Gotta run!

The last sad picture

The picture below might be the last sad face picture you will see of me on my blog. Yesterday when Mommy and Dad took the picture of me being sad after the street trouble, I got a little bit embarrassed. So, Mommy and Dad decided no more sad pictures. They don't want me to feel invaded or embarassed when I'm having a sad time. I used to not care--they could take pictures of me anytime. But now I do care, and I don't appreciate the camera in my face all of the time. I guess this means I'm growing up!

"We don't play in the street!"

This morning, Dad said he needed me to help him in the yard. There were lots of bushes and trees to trim. Out we went. (Mommy stayed inside to clean the floors.)
Dad and I were having a great time until I went in the street. "Don't go in the street," said Dad. And then Dad helped me get out of the street. I got very, very mad! I wanted to stay in the street! Dad took me inside so I could "calm down".
This is a picture of me telling Mommy about how Dad wouldn't let me play in the street. I had lots of tears and lots of crying. I was so mad I couldn't play in the street!
I'm hoping the next time one of my grandparents come to visit, I'll be able to play in the street. Grandparents let kids do things that parents won't let them do.
