Doctors, 22 Months, and Polo Rompers

We started off the day with a trip to Jack's doctor. Jack had a two-week check-up to make sure he's getting enough milk. And, let me tell you, he's getting enough! In one week, Jack gained 15 ounces. Yep, he's up to 7 pounds and 13 ounces and measures 20 inches long (that's 3/4 of an inch longer than when he was born).

After his trip to the doctors', Jack was super tired. He didn't even care that Mommy snuck in and took his picture. Isn't he cute? He looks all snugly and cozy!

Today is my 22-month birthday. I'm getting to be an old big brother!

Mommy thought it would be fun if Jack and I wore our Polo rompers today. Of course, we had to pose for a picture. Here we are! I'm holding Jack with a little bit of help from Grandma Carolyn. Holding Jack is very serious business; I have to be very careful, and that takes concentration. "Sweet, sweet boys," said Mommy as she snapped our picture...

Swinging

While Grandma Carolyn was watching me color in the bathtub, Mommy needed to do a little bit of paperwork. She put Jack in the swing, and he seemed to like it. Mommy is pretty glad Jack likes to swing, cause when the grandmas are gone and Mommy is healed enough to bend over and put Jack in the swing, it will be a convenient place to let Jack sit if Mommy needs to help me with something.

Coloring in the Tub

Coloring on the bathtub sure was fun! Who ever thought of bathtub crayons sure was a smart person... On the schedule for tomorrow night: bathtub painting!

Chocolate Grahams and Milk

Some of our friends have been bringing us dinner while we all get adjusted to having Jack. It's been a great help to Mommy; she doesn't have to even think about dinner! She just eats and enjoys what appears at our door every evening at dinner time.

And, me, well...I'm really liking this idea of other people cooking for us. I'm eating things that Mommy never keeps around the house. Like chocolate covered graham crackers! They're pretty yummy with a tall glass of milk! Thanks, friends, for making us dinner...but mostly...thanks for all the sweet treats!!!

Mable the Cable Car

This morning I got to play with my friends. It was so good to see them. I've been too busy playing with Grandma Carolyn and getting used to Jack to play with my friends these past two weeks.

After I got home and had some lunch, Grandma Carolyn, Jack, Norah, and I settled in for some reading. Today we read about Mable the Cable Car. She lives in San Francisco (pretty close to Grandma Carolyn), and Mable has a bell she can ring. It's a great story.

Now it's time for a nap. But, after my nap, I get to play with my latest big-brother gift. Ava's cousin Isabella gave me some crayons that I can use to draw on the walls of my bathtub! Doesn't that sound like fun? Mommy says today is the perfect day for a play-time-bath as it's, once again, way too hot to be outside in the afternoon.

I'd better get to sleep quick, so I can wake up and hop in the tub!
