Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Today is my birthday. And I'm spending it without my Mommy. Actually she feels worse about it than I do.... I'll be just fine celebrating with Dad, Jack, and Norah! Plus, Ava left me a special present to open. :-)
We thought it might be fun to take a trip down memory lane. We'll be going all the way back to October 16, 2005 at about 9ish at night central standard time. Here's one of the first pictures of me! Wasn't I a sweet baby?

And here's the very first time Mommy ever held me in her arms. Doesn't she look terrible? She says she felt really, really happy, but, based on her face, I'm not so sure. Mom says she knew she loved me the minute she heard my little cry and saw my little face. She tells me it was a bit of a scary, rough night that ended great because I was safe and healthy and here!

Happy Third Birthday to ME!!! Even though my Mommy isn't here to celebrate with me...remember, Mom, we've been celebrating ALL week!

A Farewell Walk

Tomorrow is the day.
It's the day Mom takes off for Aunt Tammy's wedding. It is also the first of six days where Dad will be taking care of Jack, Norah and me. We're all excited about our upcoming adventure! This afternoon, Mom asked me what we should do on our last Mommy&Me afternoon before Dad takes over. "Go to the cafe for a treat and then take a fountain walk," I said. Silly Mommy--why did she even have to ask?
Off we went... First up was a dark chocolate and raspberry scone at the cafe.

Jack had crackers. From home. It must be really boring being a baby.

After our treat, we headed down to the fountain. Here's our new flower shop. It was just about to close, so we'll have to go inside when Mom gets back into town.

Since it was drizzly, we had to stay in the stroller. See how full the fountain is? We had lots of rain today.

Back up the street to our car... That's the cafe straight ahead. We sure like their new umbrellas.

While our small town is cute, Mom is ready to hit the big City! Have fun, Mom! We'll miss you...

Mopping the Floors

After our fun day yesterday, this morning we've been getting things put back together around here. Mom said the way we could help her best was to play in Jack's room together nicely together.

But Jack and I sort of forgot to stay in Jack's room...

Mom put up this special "reminder" to help us remember to stay in Jack's room while the wet floors had time to dry. Jack and I thought it was fun pretending to be monkeys in a cage at the zoo.

Shootin' Hoops

After my party and the pumpkin patch yesterday, I was beat! I snuggled up with Mom, and Dad took Jack to my room to shoot hoops.

Dad took lots of pictures...and a movie, too! See Jack dunk the ball over at the other blog.

The Pumpkin Patch

Dad had a long weekend at work, so he had today off. That meant that after resttime, the fun continued! We headed off to the pumpkin patch to pick out a few pumpkins.

Brothers.
A three armed scarecrow.
Searching for the best pumpkin.
"I found it," babbled Jack!
We had a great time enjoying the beautiful, fall afternoon, and we wish Dad could stay home every day!

PS: We keep forgetting to show you how well Jack is walking. To see him walking at the pumpkin patch, visit the other blog.
