Dad's Home

I'm busy playing with my Dad, so I can't write too much! Dad just got home from work, and I'm so excited!

Today Mommy and I had a good day. We walked with my friends, then we had lunch with Mommy's friend, and then we cleaned our floors.

After I'm done playing with Dad, I'll take a bath and head for bed.

Have a good night's sleep...

I was so mad!!!

After my lovely lunch, Mommy gave me my sippy cup so I could have a drink of water.

Then Mommy took my sippy cup away. Mommy said it was because I was choking on the water. Regardless of Mommy's reason (she claims it was a valid reason), I was sad...and a little bit mad!

When I finished choking and calmed down, Mommy handed me my sippy cup. Once again, everything was okay.

(Mommy thinks I am very, very cute when I show her my sad/mad face. In the future, I plan to use this to my advantage.)

Lunch and Reading

Today my lunch was quite yummy! Here I am swallowing my last bite of avocado. YUM!

And to the grandma that Dad talked with this weekend... We do still read--me and Mommy--we read during the day when Dad is at work. In fact, sometimes I have to fuss to get the reading to stop! Mommy tries to read before bedtime, but I'm not really into that kind of reading yet.

Mommy says she thinks my two favorite books are Goodnight Moon and Neighborhood Animals. Mommy says I'm starting to appreciate the pictures and colors more these days. When I was little, I just wanted to grab the book so I could chew the pages. Now, I sit back and enjoy the show.

Reading

This is a favorite new trick of mine... While I'm on my tummy-time rug, I scootch over to my books. Then I roll over before pulling the books off of my shelf. Reading is fun!

Note: Daddy thinks it's funny I pulled off the Boys Will Be Boys book; he's says perhaps I'm trying to tell Mommy and him something?

Breakfast with Dad

Our company left early this morning before we were awake. Actually, I was awake. I was having a chat with my blankie, but then I went back to sleep.

Now I'm up and having breakfast with my Dad. I'm having rice cereal and Dad is having Cheerios. Mommy says that pretty soon--like in a couple of months--I'll be able to have Cheerios, too!

We're not doing much around here today. We're going to have a pajama day and read the newspaper. We do pajama/newspaper days a lot on Sundays, cause we go to church on Saturday nights.

Well...I'd better get to lounging around while I have the chance. Mommy says tomorrow is a day full of chores. I'm gonna rest while I can!
