The Events of Today

Jack turned six-months-old today. And to celebrate he made a special surprise for Mom and Dad. Yep, he had a blow-out. Pretty much this happens anytime Jack poops. We don't understand how it happens. It's instant. Mommy hears the noise, she runs for the changing table, and still, this happens more often than not. H-E-L-P!!! Any suggestions?

Moving right along to happier things... Today is Superbowl Sunday. (Go New England!) Since it's a special day, Mommy said we could eat our dinner in front of the tv instead of at the table. Dad was the only one who chose eating in front of the tv. Jack and I didn't want Mommy to feel lonely in the kitchen all by herself, so we opted to stay in there with her. I think she really appreciated our company. She's not really used to being alone, and I'm not sure she'd know what to do with herself if she had a free minute. Mommy, however, assures us she'd fill that minute of alone-time just fine.

First Bites

At dinnertime on Friday night, we gave Jack a few tastes of food for the very first time. Jack is six-months-old tomorrow, so it's time for him to start practicing with food.

Jack really liked the idea of food. He kept opening his mouth and leaning forward as if he wanted more of his cereal.

However, when it came time to actually swallow the cereal, Jack made some super funny faces!

Our baby didn't quite know what to think of the taste.

Still he would open his mouth and lean forward indicating to Mommy that he wanted more to eat.

Silly Jack! He had all three of us in giggles!

Sitting

While Mommy folded the laundry, Jack practiced his sitting.

He had a really nice time playing the piano until Norah walked by. Jack tried to touch Norah's tail and...

...he tipped over!

Mommy giggled feeling pretty lucky to have caught the event on camera.

Batteries

Jamey: Mommy could you please put the battery in my snowplow so it will move and make noises?
Mommy: Oh Jamey, that snowplow doesn't have room for a battery.
Jamey: (loud fussing) The snowplow is sad.
Mommy: I'm sorry, Jamey. What would help him feel better?
Jamey: Maybe a little bit of tv would make him feel better.

Too Much Fun

My Snowmen at Night book tells all about what snowmen do at night while the rest of us are sleeping.

This is how I found my snowman this morning. I'm wondering if perhaps he had a little too much fun last night...
